Fear!

Updated: Aug 21, 2021

After many years of procrastinating I started my sisterlocks journey. I wish I could say it was prolonged by anything other than fear. Fear of what my hair would look like and what people would say. I'm not going to say that the $1200 price tag wasn't a bit daunting however I was willing to pay it without hesitation IF I could ever pulled the trigger. I had two consultations and watched countless videos on YouTube. I pondered and pondered until finally I just did it. November 23-24, 2020 I joined the sisterhood and I love it!! This was the best hair decision I have ever made. I was saddened that I had prolonged my journey for over 3 years because of fear. I share this story of fear because we all have experienced it in some form or the other. Fear is not as automatic as you think. Fear is part instinct, part learned, part taught, and most times imagined. FEAR is false evidence appearing real that can consequently diminish our levels of self-esteem, and can therefore hold us back from achieving a desired outcome. I encourage you to not let fear prolong your journey or hold you back. Don't allow your fear lead you to regret. Just do it!
